Mineral Processing Laboratory
Rock Mechanics & Explosives Research Center
Grzegorz Galecki, Associate Professor
The Mineral Processing Laboratory provides support for research and teaching needs of Mining & Nuclear Engineering department. The laboratory has state-of-the-art equipment, including unique specialized cavitation cells, laboratory-scale mineral processing equipment, and access to a chemical analysis laboratory.
Research activities include accelerated excavation; bore hole mining, slurry transport, novel methods of comminution, and comminution down to nano-sized materials. Other topics investigated include fundamental studies of two- and three-phase flow, and high speed phenomena. The laboratory is also available to serve the needs of graduate students campus wide.
